About the Artist
My name is Lisa Lovely LPA. I have many names and titles , I prefer Lisa, as my artist and spiritual name.
I was born and raised in , New York , of Italian ancestry and some time ago moved to, Henderson , Nevada.
My formal education was in, Biological Science, I never planned or wanted to make art.
It just happened one day.
I currently work during the day, in Southern Nevada, maintaining very large landscapes. When not working maintaining landscapes , I make traditional art and curate the , Lisa Lovely LPA Art Gallery.
I am married and have big kids, a couple of cats , and somewhere a small lizard.
The bulk of my art explores the under pinnings of my sexuality , gender, and matters of life , death , spiritualism and the very nature of my own reality.
I am a humanist and spiritualist but not a super naturalist. I believe the future of humanity hinges on saving the individual, even at the cost of questioning , dismantling , and re organizing our traditional institutions, which throughout history more often then not have oppressed and attacked individualism at catastrophic cost to humanity and the world.
We must save the individual to save the world. We need more goddess in the human psyche.
My mission is not to sell art , but to build the , “Lisa Lovely Art Museum.”, now housed in a small garage converted to an art gallery.
